Comanche County Schools
There were some big changes made a few years ago when they decided to combine the schools. Protection Panthers and Coldwater Eagles merged to form the SOUTH CENTRAL TIMBERWOLVES. The combined athletic forces of Coldwater, Protection and Wilmore, make this a mighty group and hard to beat. The 2010-2011 school year begun August 11, 2010
All the elementary and middle school kids go to Protection, and all the high school kids go to Coldwater. The united force of all three communities-Coldwater, Protection and Wilmore has made it possible to have better education with newer equipment and still have a small teacher/student ratio. Having small schools allows more kids to take part in sports and activities, which is an added benefit, and the kids love it.
Due to the budget cuts in 2009, the district decided change to a 4-day school week.
